I know I'm not perfect and that I don't always do my best to reach out to people but I like to think that I try and I know I fall short. I'm human, which is why I am always willing to give others a second chance. I believe in forgiveness. I believe that a part of being Catholic means forgiving others for their mistakes so here I go again, asking you to find it in your heart to forgive me and I'll be sure to do the same for you.

Hello Blogger & Hello February (my favorite month of the year),
I know it's been a while since I last blogged and so much has happened within the span of the past few months.
In December, I went to the Philippines for the very first time. It was such an eye-opening experience and I loved every minute of it. I could do without the turbulence on the plane ride though. I wish I could tell you about every single part of my trip and everything I did but it would take too much time and honestly, I should've written it down right when I got back because I've forgotten parts of it already :( All I can really say is that I'm grateful and blessed to have been given the opportunity to share that experience with my parents: the sights, the sounds, the smell, the feeling of just being present there with my family was something I wouldn't trade for the world.
January came and went. I was lucky enough to travel again...this time with Krystle Diane for MLK weekend. It was such a fun weekend getaway. We got to spend time with some of our NorCal Liwanag friends while celebrating Krystle's 24th birthday. Lots of good eats and good company, which reminds me that I need to upload photos from that trip onto FB as well. I'm SO behind on my scrapbooking. It's not even funny.
January ended with bad news. As my family reunited for my Auntie Presy's 1 year death anniversary, we found out my Auntie Didi got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It's in the third stage and she has 18 months to live. Hearing that news hit me hard, especially since my parents and I are so close to my aunt. Her birthday is in February also. When I found out about it, the first thing I did was re-read the cards and letters she sent me. We're going to continue praying for my aunt and I hope you can pray with me too.
February's off to an amazing start so far. I got to attend Liwanag's 1st Friday! It was my first time going and I'm blessed to have friends with whom I can pray and worship. I'm glad we can still get together like that and just be in His presence as one family. We got to celebrate Brenton's 26th birthday as well. Happy late 20s to you! :P I do love that guy.
Also, my family and I are in the market for a new house. We may be moving out of LA soon :( As much as that hurts to say, I know that it's necessary in the long run but Los Angeles will always be my home. I was born and raised here and I can't imagine spending my childhood anywhere else. Although I will miss the city, I will be sure to visit frequently... I'll still be working in LA after all... and besides, my dentist, my favorite food places, the galleria, and Scoops are in Los Angeles.
Lastly, I got a haircut. I think my bangs are too short but other than that, I needed a change.
As I get ready to celebrate the big 2-5 and set goals for myself within the next 5 years (grad school please!), I can't help but be amazed at how things have changed over the years. Oh life, you and your curveballs.
