I absolutely hate looking at my bank account after I pay bills. It's always painful. It was even more painful today because I have additional unexpected expenses to consider: replacing my flat tires. Earlier this week I was driving out of my driveway and onto the street and heard a weird noise coming from my car. Lo and behold, it was a flat tire. My car has given me plenty of warning signs lately: the maintenance/air pressure light going on every few weeks, the sticker on my window reminding me it's time to take my car into the shop. My car had been due for its annual checkup this month but I had been putting it off because I didn't want to use my paycheck on repairs/maintenance. But life sure knows how to pull a fast one on you. Good one, life.

I also don't like looking at my bank account because I don't want to know about the frivolous, unnecessary things I spent my money on... which is almost always food. Darn my coworkers for their tempting lunch invites. It's so hard to say no to sushi! Who says no to sushi?! Anyway, I need to have better self-discipline. I definitely don't want to revert back to my college ways of dipping into my savings account. I need to be smarter.

I am excited that I am eligible to be matched for my retirement plan. How nerdy is that? I can't believe I've been working there for an entire year. It seems like just yesterday when I thought I wouldn't be able to land a job at all.

In other news, I love Tia and Tamera's new show and the 90's revival on Nickelodeon.

Sorry for the boring post and for leaving you guys hanging.
