it's fat tuesday. but i feel so full from this weekend that i don't know if i even need a fat tuesday anymore. anyway so i have a few hours left to cram for anthro. yeaah. i better get started on that. i hope it's not too hard. i feel so sleepy even though i slept at 1:30 and barely woke up. i would've slept longer if i didn't have this midterm to study for. i can't believe it's week 8 already. if i can only get through these next couple of weeks... it'll be alright, i'm sure.

happy birthday to me.
the past two days have been incredible, more than i could ever have asked or hoped for.
i was able to celebrate my birthday a multiple number of times with all the people that i truly love. i feel loved & happy.
february 23rd:
ate at bwine with kathy: onion rings, chicken sandwich
went to mass at interfaith then had lunch there too: pasta, salad, and my strawberry shortcake ice cream from bwine.
then i went to anthro lec. then i walked back to the dorm.
then flo bri avi jen bernie and i ate at commons...yucky chicken cordon bleu & salmon & veggies & rice.
RA kenny greeted me an early happy bday. then it was off to bj's around 7:30 with the same group plus andy and sabrina and carol of otero. pizookie time! finished my individual pizookie. sooo good but sooo bad. i had a crown & earrings to match haha. then around 9:30 or 10 we went back to vista.
i imed kathy and told her that i didn't think anyone would remember my bday so she graciously walked from m.e. to mesa to celebrate with me. hung out at joce's room till 11:55, then i went back upstairs. the family & franny jo called to wish me a happy birthday.
talked to people online...bernie takes out the trash and comes up with a HUGE group of loggers singing happy birthday to me and holding a cookie monster cupcake cake. then out of nowhere, erwin cakes me all over my face and my salute your shorts shirt. pretty good surprise. totally unpredictable. they got me gooood. hallmates passed by to see what all the commotion was about. yeah kathee helped clean it up. liwanag stayed for a good half an hour or so until they had to leave. again it was so good. tried to force myself to eat some cupcakes but it wasn't working. luckily andrew and matt came to save the day by taking a few off of my hands. passed out cupcakes to people in the hall. went to bed around 3:30! i couldn't sleep bc of my sugar high. yeah it was quite gross.
woke up around 8:30 and got ready for class at 10. anthro dis. fuuun. then cupnoodles for lunch. then annie gave me a pretty wallet! then i went to cornerstone cafe to meet up with my TA but apparently i was supposed to go to the humanities bldg instead. luckily i realized that and went but i was late. he helped me fix my paper. then i went back to vista. ellen surprised me with more cookies. AHHH cookie overload i tell you. i loved it though. then we walked to humcore dis. survived. went back to vista, hung out and took songs from annie. went on homestarr runner. then frances calls me to tell me she's hungry & that she's on her way to pick me up. they surprise me at the dorm. we, meaning, bernie, frances, bella.may, lenor?, and i all go to souplantation where we meet up with erwin. my first time there! unlimited icee's! so good. yummy clam chowder. yummy salad. too bad i was too full to eat anything else. stayed there till 4:30 or so. they dropped us off at vista. avi and jen gave me a balloon and a card signed by some of vista :D. then i packed up really quickly and left for home with theresa...long ride but good music and talks. got to the grove. i said, wouldn't it be cool if i saw a celebrity on my bday? like the backstreet boys or brian austin green and lo and behold....i see LC from laguna beach in the escalator before me carrying a forever 21 bag. she was on her cell phone. such a laguna beach thing to do. i was happy. met up with mike, gia, danny, darlene, and rj at the cheesecake factory. caught up, ate some chicken madeira and got surprised AGAIN with a special ice cream cup thing for my bday. they sang happy birthday to me too. opened my presents! i felt like a kid again. new backpack, stuffed animals, cute sweater, SANRIO STUFF!, degrassi dvd, and what else but MORE FREAKING MRS. FIELD'S COOKIES! I'm sooo stuffed. who knew it was possible to have too many cookies? i sure didn't. but yes, then i got home around 9 and spent quality time with the parents. too bad alex is at debut practice. anyway, i just thought i'd share my WONDERFUL nineteenth birthday. growing up might not be as bad as i thought. i'm sleepy...so one more time for the road: happy birthdayyy to me! :)

Thank you to everyone who made my birthday as special as it was! I LOVED every single minute of it. The texts, the voicemail messages, the calls, the facebook & myspace greetings, the hugs, the cookies, the gifts....they all made me smile! I'm so happy to have friends like all of you in my life. It's gonna be a good year. I can feel it.

Eventful weekend but NOT productive at all. I got to see my Heart2Heart Campus Ministry buddies, best friend Gia! and Kim. It was a fun afternoon at Hollywood&Highland. I love Gia's new car. We jammed to 93.5, the og gangster station. I love my old friends! Then we picked up Kim and headed to Hollywood. We ate at Johnny Rocket's. Smokehouse burger? and cheese fries. Then Coldstone's oreo overload. Then we passed by this event called Fusion D where 4 of Cycle 4's America's Next Top Models were making an appearance. We took pictures with two of them, Keenyah and Michelle. Then we went to the Oscar's Gallery exhibit and took pictures there. Then we went back to Kim's house and I couldn't go inside because of my cat allergies lol so we made a card for this year's Heart2heart board outside on Kim's porch. It was an awesome Saturday! Quality time with the brother this weekend, just like when we were kids, kinda. I'm kinda glad his debut practices & friends' parties were cancelled hahaha. JK! Church at the Cathedral on Sunday and then we ate at Bahay Kubo for breakfast. Nothing like a little tapsilog lol. Then the mall! where we had some lollicup boba & shopped around. Today was hw day. Bernie and her family took me to school around 2. Then I read! But it's the beginning of a good week I hope. I can feel it. I have an early enrollment window, my friend Annie made me a friendship bracelet annnd Avi baked me a batch of yummy chocolate chip cookies, my favorite :) I'm one happy camper, that's for sure. Ok picture time!

I'm still in Irvine! A crazy chain of events have prevented me from going home so here I am. Oh well. This is gonna be one of those useless blogs without substance so don't read it if you don't want to.

Quick recap of the day's events: "played" Jeopardy during Anthro dis. if you can even consider it playing. I didn't know any of the questions that were asked. I guess that's what happens when you haven't read this week's readings and when you skipped a lecture. From there, I got a to-go lunch. Then I came back to the dorms and ate my lunch and then headed to Humcore dis with Ellen...thennn I went to biodiversity! Yeah I'm thinking that from now on, I'm gonna be going to the lectures, no matter how dull they are. Bri, Carol, and I walked back and surprised Flo with a cake and the card that everyone signed last night! Happy Birthday again Flo! Commons afterwards, yay shrimp. Then Bernie and I watched a little of the Ao1 praise & worship concert! I wish I could've seen more of it but we went to Guppy's to celebrate Flo's birthday. It was my first time eating there. The portions were huge but it was good or "gewd." I had sweet & sour popcorn chicken and some of the mixed fruit shaved ice with mango ice cream. And now I'm back at Vista deciding whether or not to watch Mulan. I don't wanna walk to Otero. I'm lazy & sleepy. I'm probably just gonna pack up and go to bed. Sounds like a plan to me! It was so chilly today. Why is Irvine weather so confusing? Kathy and I ate adobo and rice for lunch at her dorm instead of eating at brandywine because we're cool like that. I cooked rice with my brand new mini-rice cooker courtesy of my mom...ha ha ha

Speaking of parents, my dad called me today and gave me a guilt trip for not calling them as much as I should. It's not that I don't want to talk to them...it's just a combination of things that get in the way like homework, studying, low cellphone battery lol etc. Soooo I think another new year's resolution of mine will be to call home more often. I guess that once I started my second quarter here, I wasn't as homesick as I was before so I haven't felt the need to call them every minute of every day complaining about school and being a loner and missing my bed. Yeah that's it. At least they're not mad. On the other hand I talk my brother online everyday, weiiiird. College is weird.

My life seems really boring...more boring than I imagined it would be, when in reality it isn't boring. I just choose to exclude the REALLY exciting stuff. I bet it's intriguing you now huh? lol.
